Haleigh’s Hope Act, HB 885, is introduced today in the Georgia State House
January 28, 2014
Today, the first step in a challenging journey was taken. On behalf of children and families in our state, HB 885, Haleigh’s Hope Act, was introduced in the Georgia House of Representatives. This bill, co-sponsored by Ben Watson, Mickey Channell, Micah Gravley, Margaret Kaiser, Tom McCall, as well as over 80 other Representatives, would legalize medical cannabis in a tightly restricted, very regulated, doctor managed process for patients with seizure disorders. It would be administered in a Cannabidiol oil based formula, NOT SMOKED. It has the support of the Medical Association of Georgia, and the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. This video shares the stories of some of Georgia’s families that this bill would impact. Please share this video, these families stories, and contact your State Rep and Senator and express your support.
